Firstly, I hope you are all well and keeping safe during these challenging and difficult times. As you aware, the government has extended the lockdown until 7th May 2020 and possibly beyond that.
Bereavement
During these times, I believe that we have all come across a family member or a friend whose life has been lost to this deadly virus so the message from the government could not be clear…. STAY AT HOME AND SAVE LIVES!
As you have probably seen from the mail shot sent out last week that we have teamed up with our colleagues in North London so that families can perform last rites & rituals for their loved ones via Zoom. Hopefully, it will give families satisfaction in attaining some kind of closure in what is a very stressful time anyway. For further information please contact Jayantibhai Raithatha on 07867 901138.

If you know any vulnerable person or people that may require assistance with anything from shopping to getting regular meals then please do contact any of the above (contact details provided below) and we will do our best to help.
Travel
If you know anyone that is stuck abroad and would like to return to the UK than again do get in touch with us.
Activities
During the time of isolation it can be difficult to pass time at home so we have teamed up with our colleagues across all the majhans in UK and our central council body of Lohana Community United Kingdom to bring you various live activities on Facebook. This can range from anything such as bhajans to Keep Fit classes to Bollywood dancing or anything else that you may feel appropriate and its open to all ages and communities. You will potentially have a captive audience of tens of thousands of people and who knows if there are enough Shares/Likes, it could go viral!
We are looking for your participation so lets show the world that East London has got TALENT and this could be just the platform to make your claim to fame! You will also be able to join in with activities from other regions as we will update you with the schedules by mailshots or via our website.
Please do call me ASAP if you have anything that you would like to share with us. We will be assigning LIVE Facebook schedules for the next three weeks as soon as entries start to come in so don’t delay.
